Kilbeg Pier, Lough Corrib
Ireland's largest lake, on your doorstep.
Lough Corrib stretches 176 square kilometres northward from Galway city into the heart of Connemara. Kilbeg Pier sits on the quieter eastern shore — away from the tourist trail, in a landscape of small fields, stone walls and big skies.
The pier is a working pier. Fishing boats come and go, and on a calm evening the water is completely still. Guests often walk down in the evening just to watch the light change over the Connemara hills on the far shore.
